The cabin is an awesome stay! Very quiet, about a 10-15 minute drive to spots in Big Bear. Inside furnishings were fantastic! Cute little log cabin perfect for any trip up to Big Bear Mountain. 5/5 stars! Host is very nice and responsive. Will definitely stay again :)

This was our third time staying at Sugar Bear cabin, and this time was even better. We noticed that the cabin had been updated -- new paint I think, and work done on the porch and deck. It was neat as usual and seemed extra clean. We like the quiet location in the neighborhood with the trees. It is a quick drive to the grocery stores. Only about a ten-minute drive to the hikes we like to do. Will be coming back!

It is a neat and cozy little cabin. Not far from local big bear activities. Great for a weekend getaway. I will highly recommend.

We had a great time at the cabin. The location is excellent--close to the village and the lake, but far enough to enjoy the quiet of the neighborhood and the sounds of the birds and other wildlife. The cabin was clean, parking was easy, and check-in was quick. The cabin itself is comfortable for two. The wifi had great speeds for streaming. The kitchen was well equipped (we cooked most of our meals during our stay) with enough pots and pans to cook or bake whatever you may want. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets. We did not do laundry, but it was nice to have a washer and dryer should we have needed to. Plus-sized travelers: The bed and living room furniture were sturdy. The kitchen and bathroom areas are narrow but manageable.

We felt like we were "at home", in that it was just the way that we want for things to be. It was the right size for us with all of the amenities that we need and more. Very comfortable, and many spaces for relaxation/games/enjoyment. We spent a lot of time on the deck listening to the sights and sounds of nature. There is a large digital monitor, above the fireplace, for streaming all of your favorite programming. The neighborhood was quiet and relatively close to anything that the citys attractions offer. We ate out almost every meal for the week, but the kitchen was fully equipped to handle most common meals. When I asked my wife as to how we should respond to the review, she said to "give them a 100%". We really did enjoy our time at "Sugar Bear" and will plan to come again as we regularly visit Big Bear.

Sugar Bear Cottage is a beautiful home to spend the weekend for a small family of four. Our two year old boys loved the outdoor space of the patio and backyard. The place was clean and well maintained. Laurel was very quick to respond. She accommodated for an early check in, which was quite nice. Kenny the host was quick to respond and made the check in super easy. I highly recommend this place and will stay here again. The place and location is just as advertised.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sugar Bear Cottage! The location is wonderful, so close to the lake and the village but still secluded enough to feel like a proper escape. The house was in great condition, very cozy but functional, not too big and not too small. The kitchen was so well equipped, we made some excellent meals there! My partner and I feel so rejuvinated after our retreat, definitely recommend!

Loved it! Exceptionally clean, private and comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet. We loved the deck where we sat and drank our morning coffee, admired the trees and listened to the birds, and a shady porch to sit on in the afternoon. It would make a great honeymoon spot.

This place was wonderful for our Memorial Day weekend. The cabins location was great, surrounded by nature and quiet neighbors. The Wifi was solid during the day for remote working, cooking equipment was stocked, and the shower had good pressure - it warmed up quick and theres a heating unit in the ceiling to keep ya toasty. The cabin was close to markets and restaurants, and close to a wide range of running / hiking trails.

This is a really cozy spot, with plenty of room for a couple! I so appreciated having sitting/working space in the living room, kitchen, porch, and backyard! My boyfriend and I went for a getaway from LA and had a great time just enjoying the quiet and just a quick drive away from the village shops.
