8th Annual Tour de Big Bear - August 4, 2018
Held in the high country of Southern California`s San Bernardino Mountains, road cyclists of all levels escape the summer heat and cruise alpine roadways and trails, over high mountain passes like Onyx Summit (elevation of 8,443 feet), and around Big Bear and Baldwin Lakes. With scenic and challenging high altitude rides, professional style racing venue and a week long Cycling Festival, it`s no wonder Big Bear Lake is known as the `Cycling Capital of Southern California.`
Tour de Big Bear will again host riders to Big Bear Lake and provide rides appealing to all level of rider and athlete. 17th Annual Renaissance Faire - July 21 through August 12, 2018 - Weekends
The 17th annual Big Bear Valley Renaissance Faire takes place weekends at Pederson`s Mill in Fawnskin. Our Faire is a continual day of mirth and merriment, excitement and education. The village streets lead you past crafts, costumes, food, stages, and games. The Enchanted Shire has six stages of ongoing shows performing every half-hour. There is also an arena for the jousts and the Great Square for pirate battles, maypole dances, and other fun! |

Movies in the Meadow - August 4 & August 11, 2018
Join us at Snow Summit on select dates for our Movies in the Meadow series and enjoy your favorite movies under the stars for FREE
All screenings are hosted in the Snow Summit base area and feature family-friendly films throughout the year
Admission is FREE with concessions available for purchase at Bighorn Smokehouse. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Folding camping chairs and blankets are permitted. Outside food and beverages are not allowed.

Big Bear SPNDX Stampede - August 5, 2018
New to the Big Bear Cycling Festival is the SPNDX Stampede, Big Bear Lake`s first gravel ride event. If your tank still has some juice in it after Tour de Big Bear . . . swap out the tires and hit the dirt. Taking place on Sunday following the Tour de Big Bear road event riders start in the Village and are challenged with a 44 mile route including fire road climbs and single track through the trees, that will make it a Stampede like no other in the series. |

29th Annual Antique Car Club`s Fun Run - August 10 - 12, 2018
The 29th Annual Antique Car Club`s Fun Run takes place Friday August 10th through Sunday August 12th. The Fun Run features a car show with 500+ cars - roadsters, classics, antiques and hot rods, lining the streets of Big Bear Village. Friday is registration day from 9-5 pm for participants at the Bartlett Parking Lot, Saturday is the day to view the cars on display from 9-4 pm and the Fun Run drive around the Lake takes place at 3pm at the end of day on Saturday, and the awards ceremonies are on Sunday starting at 9:00 am. |

2nd Annual Ryan Hall`s "Conquer the Wall" - August 11, 2018
When Olympian Ryan Hall began his journey as a runner, it all started here. Ryan grew up only 5 minutes away from Snow Summit and incorporated weekly 1 mile timed runs up "The Wall" ski run. The current high school cross country team in Big Bear still utilizes this course every summer for their training, hoping to reach the heights that Ryan Hall established. Three State Champions later....it seems to be working! |

The Kodiak 100 Ultramarathon - August 17 - 18, 2018
Trail running in the San Bernardino Mountains at it`s finest will be on display for the Kodiak 100 miler, the Kodiak 50 miler and Kodiak 50K. Southern California mountains tend to surprise people, especially in September-its phenomenal conditions. It`s typically sunny, the temperature is almost always comfortable, considering this course is ALL between 5,100' and 10,000' . |

34th Annual Antique Wooden Boat Show - August 18, 2018
The show features classic wooden boats, Chris-Craft models and other antique vessels.Boats will be on display at the Pine Knot Landing Docks from 9am to 4pm on Saturday the 18th. Admission is free, and most of the boat owners and skippers will be there to talk about the history of their boats. Classic Cars from the Big Bear Lake Antique Car Club will also be on display. |
